As we are about to depart for the East Coast, I am sitting by the window feeling a delightful, warming breeze envelope my skin and the vibrations of the muse are striking the chords of expression. I can waste no time but to write:

How do we surrender to our natural instincts of balance among the species and diffuse our egoic nature that wants to control the balance? Are we purely a selfish lot of individuated egos, all wrapped up in pleasures and gratifications, or can we bring the purity of oneness into a living, breathing essence of manifestation? It is these questions that bring me again to Letter Sixteen and more on Morality, Sex and Relationships.
“…So tell me, what it is we are making up as we go? And if we’re so creative, why don’t we all know we’re making it up?”
You do know. But your soul is so creative that it has devised a way to hide the truth from you. We are making up all that is. By our observations of nature, using eyes, ears, touching, we create nature in the forms we perceive. We do it through our sensations. Other creatures create totally different worlds out of the same raw materials we have, solely because they have different ways of sensing. More than this, we make up all the meaning in our lives too.
The Bankers Go Bonkers
The Great Storm mentioned in Letters is a culmination of many ego eccentricities. Most of us believe that man’s favorite pastime, War, would be the ultimate catastrophe that would bring down the human house of cards. In fact our dearest friend has become the biggest enemy, MONEY.

I keep coming back to Letter Twenty “Appreciation.” For me it seems like the essence of all that is to come. It’s a simple thing. An awareness of all that blesses us. The beauty, the goodness, the loving; all the things we, as humans, take for granted. Become conscious in your heart and you will awake to the most precious thing we have been given.
I walked along the street today and noticed nobody’s looking, nobody’s seeing. ‘Observe’
I sat inside a restaurant today and noticed nobody’s hearing, nobody’s listening. ‘Give Attention’
I went inside my God today and noticed nobody’s yearning, nobody’s crying. ‘Surrender’
My God went inside me today and noticed ‘Gratitude.’
“You told me at the beginning that appreciation, more than anything else, set you apart from humans. Why is that quality so much more important than any others you might have named?”
Change is Coming Like a Speeding Train
Earthquakes shaking the planet. One, then another, and another, and again another. Purely coincidence or a timely cosmic occurrence? Common man rising up against the elite. Purely a rash of bad behavior or an inner cry for transformation? A President aligning with others for nuclear non-proliferation. Purely an ego’s bold play for a place in history or a wise man’s desire for peace and tranquility? A staunch opponent of progressive ideology pleading for us to listen to the facts instead of the fiction. Purely an insane right winger or a sane thinker who has had enough?
These are the signs of change. A change so deep in our core that we’ve yet to notice. But as the Great Storm plunders all around us the buds of spring are bursting through the soil.
Be still and you can feel it. Listen and you can hear it. Open up and you will see it. Hallelujah!A Passing Thought
