The Grass Roots of the Spiritual Movement

Last night I attended a workshop at the Sages Pages Bookstore in Madison, NJ. At first glance you think this is just another community book seller with the usual titles. Not so fast. Down the stairs, to the right and left and all around, is an abundance of mystical charms that will move any soulful aspirant to a mood of heightened Samadhi. The vibration alone is enough to open your Third Eye and give you glances of a world beyond 3D. Lillian, the joyous shop owner, is ready for any question on any subject. Her wit and upbeat demeanor is a welcome addition, in a world filled with cold shoulders and disinterested retailers.

This evening’s attraction is a wonderful monthly workshop and meditation with Ilona Anne Hress. Ilona is a healer. She heals beyond the needs of the body. She heals through the nuances of the spirit. Her approach is filled with laughter, inquisitiveness, application and sound. She makes light, she reads, she teaches and she sings. By the time the evening has ended you are in another world. You feel one with Peace and Light and Cosmic Fairy Dust. As I write this post I can say I am still reeling from the effects. So this is it. This is where it all begins. Not in the star laden hierarchy of the spiritual gurus or the new age wannabees. No this is a grass roots movement that is taking it’s energy from the sincere, awakened souls, that populate the hills and dales of our vast planet. The Dick and Jane crowd. This is where the movement is taking shape and this is where the movement is going to evolve. I pray that you realize, each one of you, that your addition to this movement is as important as any team that needs all of it’s players to win. The future holds magical things for humanity. It is not the apocalyptic vision that some of society imagine. That is only their ego’s fear that paints that picture. No, this is a world that has been envisioned in all the great minds and hearts of those who have brought Knowing to this realm of humankind. Krishna, Buddha, Christ – they all knew and tried to tell us. And we have laid dumb to their words. But change has come in our time and we are in the midst of a great shift. This shift is so great that in generations to come we won’t even recognize the beings we are now. It is a time of celebrations – through the very muck and mire of the ignorance that stands in our way – we move ahead. Strong in our knowing of what will come next, a life of Peace and Oneness and Appreciation of all that the Source, through Conscious Evolution, is giving us.

This is a great beginning people. Don’t be fooled by the tumultuous happenings of the moment. Remember, it is always darkest just before the dawn.

Let’s Take the First Step Back to Sanity…

Oil spill, bp, unemployment, goldman sachs, bin laden, Afghanistan, rush limbaugh, rachel maddow, glenn beck, keith oberman, joe barton, nancy pelosi, john boehner, environmental catastrophe, gulf coast, health care, off shore drilling, stanley mcchrystal, john mccain, sarah palin, michelle bachmann, dick cheney, george bush, barack obama.

All these items or names are featured prominently in our daily news. They evoke an emotional response, however big or small, from most of us, and set the stage for our disposition to change it’s temperament and control our mood for an extended time. Perhaps you are riled up just from one of the above mentioned. Let’s try an experiment. Let’s see if we can neutralize the effect they have on our psyche.

Close your eyes and imagine all those items and names are points of light, out in front of your vision. You can hear chatter coming from those lights. The chatter, at first, fills your head with annoying sound, but allow the chatter to subside and the lights to become silent, just twinkling in the air. Now see those lights become one large sphere and see it move to a spot about 10 inches above your head. As it floats there, imagine something that brings joy into your life; a flower, a painting, a poem, a song or a face, and place it in the center of the sphere. Next, see the sphere move down into your head and feel it release the pressure of the noise from all sides of your skull. Let the sphere move into your throat and taste sweetness on your tongue. Once again, move the sphere into your stomach and feel it release all the tension in that spot 3 inches below the navel. Finally, move the sphere into your heart. Let it hover there for a while. Now let it expand, filling your entire body. Feel the balance it affords. The peace from within.

This is the state of appreciation. This state of appreciation comes from balancing the emotions and leveling the mind. It is the natural state of an evolved species and one that can be ours.

Beyond the Fringe

Last night Chris Matthews, of MSNBC, aired a report on “The Rise of the New Right.”

It showed a cross-section of emotional driven egos, short on facts and long on ignorance. In many ways it could be compared to the 1968 horror film “Night of the Living Dead.” There is a mob mentality in both cases and a dumbed down, unconscious approach to life. The zombies are recently risen-from-the-dead carnivores, who have nothing better to do than ravage the countryside looking for new blood to consume. The New Right are recently risen-from-the-ranks, confused middle class white Americans, who are ravaging the countryside looking for gratification of their sophomoric emotional pain bodies. They are being led by disgruntled, former would be politicians, whose sole purpose in life is to grab the limelight and spread idiocy throughout the land. When shall we learn…

Discuss the disconnect between those who have egos and those who don’t. For instance:

“If ego is the major problem on the planet now, and we cannot do anything to get rid of it, what is our true course of action? You have said the change (mutation) must come from within—at the genetic level—and that we cannot make it happen; it must be the soul or Source who does it–when it gets ready. That sort of leaves us just hanging around waiting, while all hell is breaking loose. This doesn’t feel right to me. Surely, there is something we can do!”

Letter Twenty-Four “Homo Angelicus” …the final pages

In these final pages to Letter Twenty-Four we find an answer to the question of existence is brought into a new light. We have tried for eons to fathom the purpose of life on earth and the trials we must go through along the way. In our egoic nature we assume many things, yet know no thing. We are brash life forms, with arrogance and pride as our brother and sister. We allow our defensive egos to laud over the simplicity and purity of truth. Wrapped up in our day to day floundering we have no space for our true nature; our inner cry to listen, to sense and and to know. Competing for greatness, in a world that knows nothing greater than ego’s cry for acceptance, is a sad eulogy for our dying species. And we are dying. The ego fed life of humanity is turning the corner of existence and walking into the light of a new consciousness. It’s about time.

[I rise up with a realization.] “Wait! You are revealing this information to us. So, the knowledge of the Key to the Threshold will now pre-date its discovery. How will this affect evolution and all?”

“Ah. Now, my son, you are picking up clues to how Conscious Evolution really works. I said that we have done this all before. We’re practicing it all over and over, until we get it right.”
