In 1971 I entered an ashram styled community in Jamaica, Queens and started my journey towards awakening. After 6 years of intense meditation, at the feet of the guru, I realized my journey was about to take a new path and left the confines of the guru/disciple relationship.
Regaining my personal power I started to see life as a different landscape. Once I realized that the illusion was all mine to paint, I started with new brushstrokes of ideas.
After many years of contemplation I have started to understand my place in this field of creative manifestation. And, after all these years, I have held onto this one spark that accompanied me on my departure from the guru’s side; a poem. For it was this single poem that struck me with such force that I still find it revealing to this day.
THE ABSOLUTE
No mind, no form, I only exist;
Now ceased all will and thought;
The final end of Nature’s dance,
I am it whom I have sought.
A realm of Bliss bare, ultimate;
Beyond both knower and known;
A rest immense I enjoy at last;
I face the One alone.
I have crossed the secret ways of life,
I have become the Goal.
The Truth immutable is revealed;
I am the way, the God-Soul.
My spirit aware of all the heights,
I am mute in the core of the Sun.
I barter nothing with time and deeds;
My cosmic play is done.

Now I play another role as agent for this book, written by my friend Robert Lee Potter. It is the same revealing force that I had for the poem, that I feel is generated in this exceptional book. From the moment I started reading – it was revealed, as though my soul was remembering the true value of life and the possibilities that humankind has now to work for. So, it has become my charge to bring this book to light. It can only happen with the understanding of all who read it and all who start manifesting it. Good read!
