The Fruit Doesn’t Fall Far

When I was young and stumbling through life all the learning experiences were ‘in one ear and out the other.’ No concerted effort to expand on the deeper parts of living, just the typical walk-stumble approach. It can get you dizzy some times, especially when your head is in the clouds and your belief in a utopian environment is shattered by eye-opening events, directed to keeping you in our illusory world of make-believe. Many would say that my approach, utopian and all, is the illusion and the world around us is the “Real Deal.” Now that I am in the later leg of the journey I can honestly say, ‘that’s all a bunch of crap.’ Had I been more constructive in my idyllic thoughts, directing positive voice to my yearning for a peaceful fifth dimensional world, perhaps I would be greater along in the Knowing, or perhaps not. Life gives you what you ask for inwardly in spite of the head trips you indulge in.

My eldest son, Erik is a no-nonsense believer in the right to make your life the way you want it, work hard at what you love and play hard at what you love. His family is the perfect example of chaos and perfection. The chaos takes shape in a four-year old son and two 16 month old twin daughters. I can assure you he has been applauded on his seemingly calm and composed nature, as he struts his pride on walks around his neighborhood, with the ease and grace of a Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie. And the perfection, well he has surpassed all my expectations of father-hood and he is certainly worth “The Best Father of the Year” award come this Father’s Day.

And next, there is Jamie. Two years Erik’s junior, Jamie has excelled in understanding the true nature of life. His visionary state has pierced through the dense crust of the human mind game and planted itself firmly in the day-to-day living of a truly blessed soul. This dedication to the flight of spirit could have birthed itself through his unending drive of musical perfection, or maybe the stars were placed just right the day he came into the world. Whatever the cause of this fantastic madness, he is working the tools of enlightenment with grace and gratitude.

On June 1st he took off on a journey very few would apply themselves to, however envious we might be of the possible outcome. He traveled to Quebec, Canada and entered the Kriya Yoga Retreat Center for 28 days of selfless-service and Silence. I was truly amazed at the determination that Jamie has in going forward. I am attaching a link to his blog Silent Mind Blog and hope that you will venture over and you can also check out his album funding campaign.

We received his first journal entries with joy and we were amazed at the insights that dwell within his being. These words come only from the purest place of the heart. I have learned much from my sons. A reversal of fortune, in the most exquisite way, for I have been blessed with surrender for what is coming next in our evolution and it is within this wellspring of our future selves that the key to our survival is so planted.

Up till now we have been caught up in the idea that those who came before shall light the way. In fact the beacon is just starting to glow brightly from those who follow us and they are the teachers for the older generations. Those who come next will give us clarity, for we have waited and it has finally arrived.

    1. Thank you Eddie Two Hawks. As you are aware, the wisdom of the elders is to know that the universal consciousness expands beyond the tether of time. The knowledge it seeds in its latest creations is the gift it gives to us.

  2. Stefan,
I feel this is the most eloquent thing you’ve ever written. The appreciation and insight is flowing well over the brim. Your conclusion is an ecstatic revelation. It must be repeated, entreated and embedded in our understanding of the path that now opens to humanity. The future-now draws us onward:

“Up till now we have been caught up in the idea that those who came before shall light the way. In fact the beacon is just starting to glow brightly from those who follow us and they are the teachers for the older generations. Those who come next will give us clarity, for we have waited and it has finally arrived.”

Our awakening comes not from what we know, or what has been known before us, but rather from the exquisite, ever-evolving and empowering Unknown.

Thank you, my son, my father, my brother, my sincere friend.
    Robert
