There is that moment, showered in grief and sorrow, when the center of your body seems to lose all feeling. Even that pit in your stomach is gone. The emptiness that prevails is both alarming and curious, for within that moment there appears a vibration that creates such a harmonic blend of light that you feel a tremendous sense of aliveness. If you are at all in tune with that vibration you are blessed with a feeling of love that transcends the mind-body experience. For all-at-once, you vibrate into that space where all things and no-things preside. You can feel it so deep in your molecular structure that taking flight is no longer a myth. You are there in that place between all worlds where the Divine touches the physical plane. It is wondrous.

Life is changing as we know it. Even if the ignorance, that lords over this planet, remains somewhat intact, the many, who rise above the loneliness of separation from the one will be born into a new life of Gratitude and Grace. If nothing else, we will enjoy a life of empathy and compassion for our fellow humans.

Yesterday I posted a short film of The Tibetan Book of the Dead, narrated by Leonard Cohen. It explained the process by which Tibetan Lamas help the soul cross over into the larger realm of Consciousness and provide a pathway for reincarnation into a new form.

I’ve noticed many visitors to this site read the epilogue to Book One of Letters from 500, “Why Souls Come To Earth.” The internal urging to learn about the voyage from the inner worlds to the physical earth seems obvious and it gives a little more knowledge into the essence of the soul and its movement through conscious evolution. It seems appropriate now to visit the epilogue of Book Two of Letters “Why Soul Leave The Earth.”  Though death is inevitable for all of us, it is the hope of this writer that we all live long and prosper.  In appreciation for all we have and the state of Grace that is blessed upon us.

“O, I’ve been thinking about this series of letters we’ve just finished.”

“And you have a question?” your response is quick.

“How did you guess?”

“Go ahead. I’ve been expecting you.”

“It seems all our talk about portals could be looked upon as a form of escapism, like getting away from the old Earth. Why do we want so bad to leave this place? After all, we’ve chosen to be here, haven’t we?”

“Yes, of course,” you reply. “But it is only natural to feel like it’s all too much. Tell me what you think humans want to escape from.”

I muse, “Well, we have a frantic, dangerous, toxic world right now. It seems to be rapidly overheating and unraveling. But the bigger issue behind it all is obviously ‘the ego’. We want to escape it! And yet, now that I think about it, the ego itself probably wants to escape too. It could see escaping as another means to create separation and stress. There’s a lot of stress around this planet these days.”

“And?”

“I guess I’d have to say it’s egos creating the stress that egos want to escape from.”

“Good one.”

“A world full of egos is a horrendous place,” I continue. “It’s crazy. You know that. I feel it even more acutely now that I’ve had the glimpse of awakening you gave me.”

“Tell me what you remember of that.”

My mind goes quiet at your suggestion. I feel energy streaming in. “You know, I’d have to say awakening is really not all that far beyond us. You said it from the start, of course.”

“Yes?”

“It’s basically appreciation, isn’t it. What was so wonderful about being vigilan-for-a-day, was the continuous state of appreciation I felt. We humans are capable of something like that even now—just not the ‘continuous’ part. What serenity and oneness and…!” Suddenly words fail me; I’m back in the vigilan awareness. Warmth and peace flood through my mind in a vigorous stillness.

You ask, “What is it?”

“It’s the feeling of Oneness, of being at one with the moment. Thats what I learned. What appreciation really gives you is the presence of Now. Or maybe it’s the other way around. Having that sense of Now gives you appreciation.”

“Just so. I’d say you’ve got it,” I feel you grinning. You say, “Vigilans do not rely on time to feel appreciation. Through your eyes, I’m seeing more clearly what vigilans do. Appreciation is a timeless quality that we stream into time. Indeed, you have made a breakthrough in understanding the Now. If you would be in the moment, simply appreciate what is. If you want to appreciate, then be in the moment. They are one and the same.”

“OK. That sounds good.” My brow wrinkles. “But ‘what is’ includes everything that is, right? Good and bad both? How can you appreciate unpleasant—or worse—harmful or evil things? Can you actually value that?”

“Yes, we can. For appreciation to work the way it does, it must link us with Source, with the origin of every manifested form. In the ego world, there are many forms that are unhealthy and unconscious—and yes, evil. We can appreciate these forms as necessary elements in the parade of evolving consciousness. We do not have to condone or engage them to appreciate their place in creation.” (more…)

The physical world is one of discovery. The wave of infinite consciousness projects this physical world to allow souls to evolve. No matter what karma you’re carrying forward there are hurdles to meet and work through. Nothing in this life is set to let you coast through it. Even when you think the day is bright ahead a cloud of change can move in.

I was sent this short talk and meditation of Eckhart Tolle’s, and I found it quite uplifting. I hope you will take a moment, during this perilous time, to sit and listen.

“A Message From Eckhart!”

Time for visionaries to rise above the bobble-heads. Start the thinking process with clear minds, untainted by mesmerized beliefs. The fools that think they know the world are now finding themselves lost in it. It’s time for the best of the best to take charge. It’s time for change!

Like the Lotus flower, born out of mud, rising up through the muck to the light of the sun, so too is the consciousness of our minds and our belief systems. Out of fear we gather into cult-like groups, unable to see the truth through the confusion of our minds. Protected by ego’s lust for life we stand determined to see only what allays our fears, what does not challenge us, in spite of the truth that lies beyond the muddled veil. For we are held in the embrace of separateness, and cannot imagine the love of Oneness that yearns for our attention.

I chanced upon this excerpt from “Letters – Portal.” Perhaps we should remember that the thing that ties us all together is the divine aspect of our eternal beings.

To the One It Does Concern,

“We speak to you—as you, friends. Our voice comes from the deep Source that lies within us all. It speaks to the Oneness within and around you. It is the wake-up call of the still, small voice that lives beyond all individuation and separation. Our voice is joined into the web of the living word. Why should it be thus? Why is the Oneness speaking to itself through you? Why is it living itself through you?”

“There is no answer to the question ‘why’. But in asking it, we invoke the mystery of our shared being. The question is the presence, stretching out into wakefulness and wonder. Know that the circuit must complete itself through you. The electromagnetic—and electro-magical—forces must use you to come full circle into all the dimensions. Be of use!”

“This is our injunction to you all, to us all. Make the best and clearest use of the portal you have been given. You are that portal, as surely as you have a mind to ask the question ‘why’. Make clear your way into the moment. There is no greater blessing than being the opportunity that you are.”

“Well, well, is that you, O? You sound a little different.”

“This is the voice of our group speaking to the wider group of humans who are coming to their wakefulness now. We begin this way, that there may be a volume of energy poured forth into your presence, and in a way that will not be mistaken for anything less than the urgency of your age. We speak with Oneness, for Oneness, to the Oneness lying within you all. It is time to allow the ways to open, and to know what you know, what you have suspected for ages and kept hidden in your silence.”

“Your group is speaking to humanity?”

“Only to those with ears to hear; that is, with their fields of resonance tuned to our frequency. Many will not hear these words at all. They will receive other words, other voices. But hear you shall—each and every one. You are all hearing now; though not all are yet listening. You are all touching the Apocalypse, but not all are yet feeling what is touching them in return. What is happening now in your time is the ancient, perennial ‘quickening’ of awareness. You can feel it in the waters of your flesh, in the pulse of your breath. It is rattling the molecular foundations of your species.”

“Yes. I think I’m hearing and listening to what you say. Though I never can be quite sure. Sometimes I reread your materials and discover new thoughts I didn’t see before. I think I get it, and yet I still miss so much.”

“Such is natural. These words, from Source, are living. They come from deep down, under all; they move within themselves and vibrate endlessly. They change their form and wavelength in response to the listener and to the outpouring waves of magic and magnetism—in-breath, out-breath, in, out, pause. They are washing you alive. They will naturally transform and increase themselves in your mind, as Life continues to flow within them. Come and be nourished by this tide.”

“May I ask a question?”

“Certainly, brother.”

“What does ‘Oneness’ really mean to you? Why do you use that word so much? How are we to relate to it?”

“Thank you. Oneness is the vehicle for awakening. There is no other way to move beyond your current state of consciousness and your ego-world, than by entering and riding this vehicle. It is the presence of us all, united, sharing and grouping. And yet, it is far beyond that as well. It is union before union, the center before the circle; it is formlessness before the form. Verily, it is the form of formlessness. All radiance comes within its spark. Its fire ignites the passion of our charge. With Oneness, we will cross the great divide and find the passage through the eye of the Storm.”

“Oneness touches everything, feels everything, is everything. Yet it is not just this. It is also the Void and the Source and the Presence and the Voice. There is no concept that it is not. And yet there is no concept for what it truly is. In the meat of paradox it converges, albeit glancingly, with our earthly comprehension. To know it, to experience it, you may fly to the farthest reaches of your imagination and wisdom, or you may dive down into the fibers of your essence, in the moment, the ordinary station of your steps upon this Earth. It is everywhere you would seek to find it. But beware, what seems to be, is not real. Your seeking keeps you from truly seeing.”

“Let go all your preconceptions of what Oneness is. Long have you sought it by not finding it. Find it by not seeking it. Now is the time to know. What a joy to share this time with you all. It is the wonder of the passing of a Great Age. You are, as one, passing into the history of Now. All history lies in the moment of creation. All passages lead into themselves. They are each, Source and destiny.”

Between 1970 and 1973 I had the great honor of working in the studio with The Last Poets. They are the forefathers of present-day Rap and masters of the message, in rhyme and rhythm.

“This Is Madness” is their 1971 album, and the track of the same name, penned by Omar  Ben Hassan. This ‘Madness,’ back then, was voiced in Rhyme about the Crime of the Time. It morphed into everyday life and became the poetic backdrop for the consciousness of the early ’70s.

Yet, here we are again, and never, since then, has it been truer than now. Anger, building into hate. Hate so palpable you can smell it oozing from the pores of unconscious living. A bias so great that it lathers the tongue from which it hails. This is the first step in the final steps toward oblivion…Oh, please, give us back our sanity.

I watched this almost two-hour Town Hall and was able to breathe again. There is sanity out there, and I miss it dearly. Do yourself a favor and listen to this Town Hall, with an open mind and an open heart. Put your biases and your anger and your hate aside for two hours and just listen to reason. Perhaps it’s time to start learning from our children. They bring a new paradigm to the idea of life. The ego stops here. Thank you.

Will you remember me
When there’s no more of me to see?
Will you remember the things that went so wrong
Or remember the sometimes good we’ve done?
Will you remember me
When there’s no more of me to see?
Will you remember the pain I sometimes put you through
Or the tenderness that sprung from my heart for you?
Will you remember me
When there’s no more of me to see?
Will you remember the deep sorrow we weathered
Or the beautiful happiness we shared together?
Will you remember me
When my ashes are long for the sea?
When the days are many and your heart less heavy
How will you remember me?

Anger has become the overriding emotion among the citizens of this country. Moving into a rage, it is a sore that has festered to the point that it has infected us all. I’ve found myself so uneasy with this emotion that my smile has waned and my guts have erupted. It’s not pleasant and it’s not sustainable. Something will definitely blow. It’s for that reason I’m writing this post.

This blog is based on the possibility that we humans will evolve to a more enlightened state of mind. Under the present circumstances, it looks pretty grim that there is any possibility. In fact, the norm is erupting into a more abnormal normal. Minds are being blown apart by acts of insanity, bringing the common denominator of Common Sense to a level of Common Nonsense. Infantile brain-farts are dominating the landscape and, in some, the ego has become so infatuated with itself that it has blocked all notions of surviving the catastrophic murmurings of the world’s Mind-Sick Leaders. It doesn’t look good. (more…)

We need to be inspired. But inspiration doesn’t come out of flat words. Inspiration comes from legitimate love of truth. Translating that truth into ‘shaking and waking moments’ is an art that doesn’t gift many. In fact, there are few among us who can stir our bones and light up that marrow within us. We saw one of those people last evening at the opening of the Democratic Convention.

We always hope our leaders have that spark that cannot only lead, but can give us a reason to follow. Where fear is the spearhead for many, the true inspiration comes directly through our heart’s complete connection to absolute Love. This Love sends shivers down our spine. Once settled in that root it bursts upward, lighting up the joy sensations along the way, finally reaching our connector to the Divine and showering us in feelings of bliss. This was the experience, last evening, listening to Michelle Obama inspire. When moments like this touch our lives so deeply we must not forget.

Thank you all. Thank you so much. You know, it’s hard to believe that it has been eight years since I first came to this convention to talk with you about why I thought my husband should be president.

Remember how I told you about his character and convictions, his decency and his grace, the traits that we’ve seen every day that he’s served our country in the White House?

I also told you about our daughters, how they are the heart of our hearts, the center of our world. And during our time in the White House, we’ve had the joy of watching them grow from bubbly little girls into poised young women, a journey that started soon after we arrived in Washington.

When they set off for their first day at their new school, I will never forget that winter morning as I watched our girls, just 7 and 10 years old, pile into those black SUVs with all those big men with guns.

And I saw their little faces pressed up against the window, and the only thing I could think was, what have we done?

See, because at that moment I realized that our time in the White House would form the foundation for who they would become and how well we managed this experience could truly make or break them. That is what Barack and I think about every day as we try to guide and protect our girls through the challenges of this unusual life in the spotlight, how we urge them to ignore those who question their father’s citizenship or faith.

How we insist that the hateful language they hear from public figures on TV does not represent the true spirit of this country.

How we explain that when someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level. No, our motto is, when they go low, we go high.

With every word we utter, with every action we take, we know our kids are watching us. We as parents are their most important role models. And let me tell you, Barack and I take that same approach to our jobs as president and first lady because we know that our words and actions matter, not just to our girls, but the children across this country, kids who tell us I saw you on TV, I wrote a report on you for school.

Kids like the little black boy who looked up at my husband, his eyes wide with hope and he wondered, is my hair like yours?

And make no mistake about it, this November when we go to the polls that is what we’re deciding, not Democrat or Republican, not left or right. No, in this election and every election is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives.

And I am here tonight because in this election there is only one person who I trust with that responsibility, only one person who I believe is truly qualified to be president of the United States, and that is our friend Hillary Clinton.

That’s right.

See, I trust Hillary to lead this country because I’ve seen her lifelong devotion to our nation’s children, not just her own daughter, who she has raised to perfection…

…but every child who needs a champion, kids who take the long way to school to avoid the gangs, kids who wonder how they’ll ever afford college, kids whose parents don’t speak a word of English, but dream of a better life, kids who look to us to determine who and what they can be.

You see, Hillary has spent decades doing the relentless, thankless work to actually make a difference in their lives…

…advocating for kids with disabilities as a young lawyer, fighting for children’s health care as first lady, and for quality child care in the Senate.

And when she didn’t win the nomination eight years ago, she didn’t get angry or disillusioned.

Hillary did not pack up and go home, because as a true public servant Hillary knows that this is so much bigger than her own desires and disappointments.

So she proudly stepped up to serve our country once again as secretary of state, traveling the globe to keep our kids safe.

And look, there were plenty of moments when Hillary could have decided that this work was too hard, that the price of public service was too high, that she was tired of being picked apart for how she looks or how she talks or even how she laughs. But here’s the thing. What I admire most about Hillary is that she never buckles under pressure. She never takes the easy way out. And Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life.

And when I think about the kind of president that I want for my girls and all our children, that’s what I want.

I want someone with the proven strength to persevere, someone who knows this job and takes it seriously, someone who understands that the issues a president faces are not black and white and cannot be boiled down to 140 characters.

Because when you have the nuclear codes at your fingertips and the military in your command, you can’t make snap decisions. You can’t have a thin skin or a tendency to lash out. You need to be steady and measured and well-informed.

I want a president with a record of public service, someone whose life’s work shows our children that we don’t chase form and fortune for ourselves, we fight to give everyone a chance to succeed.

And we give back even when we’re struggling ourselves because we know that there is always someone worse off. And there but for the grace of God go I.

I want a president who will teach our children that everyone in this country matters, a president who truly believes in the vision that our Founders put forth all those years ago that we are all created equal, each a beloved part of the great American story.

And when crisis hits, we don’t turn against each other. No, we listen to each other, we lean on each other, because we are always stronger together.

And I am here tonight because I know that that is the kind of president that Hillary Clinton will be. And that’s why in this election I’m with her.

You see, Hillary understands that the president is about one thing and one thing only, it’s about leaving something better for our kids. That’s how we’ve always moved this country forward, by all of us coming together on behalf of our children, folks who volunteer to coach that team, to teach that Sunday school class, because they know it takes a village.

Heroes of every color and creed who wear the uniform and risk their lives to keep passing down those blessings of liberty, police officers and the protesters in Dallas who all desperately want to keep our children safe.

People who lined up in Orlando to donate blood because it could have been their son, their daughter in that club.

Leaders like Tim Kaine…

…who show our kids what decency and devotion look like.

Leaders like Hillary Clinton who has the guts and the grace to keep coming back and putting those cracks in that highest and hardest glass ceiling until she finally breaks through, lifting all of us along with her.

That is the story of this country, the story that has brought me to this stage tonight, the story of generations of people who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude, the sting of segregation, but who kept on striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves.

And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent, black young women playing with their dogs on the White House lawn.

And because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States.

So, look, so don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that somehow we need to make it great again. Because this right now is the greatest country on earth!

And as my daughters prepare to set out into the world, I want a leader who is worthy of that truth, a leader who is worthy of my girls’ promise and all our kids’ promise, a leader who will be guided every day by the love and hope and impossibly big dreams that we all have for our children.

So in this election, we cannot sit back and hope that everything works out for the best. We cannot afford to be tired or frustrated or cynical. No, hear me. Between now and November, we need to do what we did eight years ago and four years ago.

We need to knock on every door, we need to get out every vote, we need to pour every last ounce of our passion and our strength and our love for this country into electing Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America!

So let’s get to work. Thank you all and God bless.

There is always something happening in your life that is meant to suddenly shake you out of the daily blind and open that intuitive knowing of something other. It strikes when least expected and blasts a new hole into the realm of Awareness. Makes you wonder why we don’t always stay alert for the things around us, those things that point, but we don’t. We just struggle to keep the status quo alive. This old style of living is so off base, it’s like a boomerang that keeps trying to find its way back to the hand that cast it, continuing to ricochet off everything around it, never finding the right path back. So much for the status quo. It seems that we’ve come to that level of friction on our planet that will suddenly light the much-needed fire under our asses and burn the path brightly, leading us to source. It’s about time.

Sense out with more than your eyes into the vast world of inspiration. Once there it will be a magnet for all that is guiding you to the place of knowing. You’ll find bias start to disintegrate, judgements fall aside. This is a freedom never known by normal standards. But it is normal in the way of Awareness.
